Crab Nebula
M1 | Messier 1 | NGC 1952
On July 4, 1054 the Chinese recorded the appearance of supernova SN1054, which remained visible to the naked eye for 2 full years. Today this nebula surrounds the Crab Pulsar, the remnant of that star that exploded.
