| | Globular Cluster | M15 | Messier 15 | NGC 7078 | | M15, at Class IV, is one of the most densely-packed globular clusters, and one of the few known to contain a planetary nebula (Pease 1 or K 848, 15.5 mV and 3' diameter). With over 100,000 stars, this cluster is 175 light years in diameter. It is thought to contain a black hole at its core. Half the cluster's mass is concentrated within the central 1.06'. The brightest stars are 12.6 mV. | | |
