M5 | Messier 5 | NGC 5904
Estimates of the population of this bright globular cluster range from 100,000 to 500,000 stars. The brighter stars 12.2 mV and are are yellow giants, the dimmer background stars are blue. At 165 light years diameter this is one of the largest, and at Class V its core is of medium density.
