M3 | Messier 3 | NGC 5272
With 500,000 stars, at 180 light years diameter, this is one of the biggest and brightest globular clusters. Its brightest stars are mV 12.7, and its overall spectral type is F2 (yellow-white), with a secondary population of blue stars. At Class VI, its core is of medium density. The brightest 25 stars average 14.2 mV.
